Altus Denoiser will not discriminate towards dark and bright contrasts as it will retain all the information. This makes scenes less stressful that would otherwise be a headache in post-production. Exampled above started as a low sample output (noisy) taking a total of 3 minutes which was then denoised in Altus Studio to produce a high quality, noiseless image (denoised) in just 6 minutes. To get a similar result by just using a high sample render of the scene took 43 minutes.  Altus was able to retain much of the detail within the chrome and paint by utilizing Gloss Direct/Indriect AOVs.

Altus 2.1

With software continuously moving forward, Innobright is always making improvements. For Altus 2.1, we have updated our license system by reducing the number of failed checkouts, increasing speed, and boosting display and performance. We have removed intermediate buffers and added a memory limiter to allow Altus to internally select a max-tile-size for higher speeds. In the performance realm, Altus Studio got a makeover with stability updates; you can now preserve your output and layer names to streamline your pipeline's workflow. Data and display windows are now fully supported and Altus ServerPro has accelerated pre-processing, improving performance with your GPU. We also save you time by caching pre-processed frames in animations.

Help Site

Major improvements to our Help Site have been added. Our aim was to address your most frequently asked questions and what were reported as problem areas. Based on this feedback, we now have detailed instructions and corresponding screenshots for installing software and licenses on all operating system platforms. This will clear up many future questions and give you the best of both worlds; the headache from installation is a thing of the past and you get immediate access to Altus denoiser.
